Dell latitude d800 not able to restore or run in safe mode keeps crashing and freezing will not connect to Internet

Dell latitude d800 win xp professional slow keeps crashing and freezing will not connect to Internet will not go into safe mode will not restore. 

Please help

Anyone who can help please contact me ASAP it's driving me insane. I'm not good with computers so please talk in Lamine terms.
