Disable Upon Wired Connect

To disable your wireless connection when you have a LAN cable plugged in you must go into Device Manager > right-click on your Wireless device > Properties > Advanced tab > and set "Disable Upon Wired Connect" to Enabled.

Is this not working for you?  Well then roll back your driver to a previous version.

I know it sounds silly but this is the tip of the iceberg.
I have multiple Latitude E6320's in my organization and some wireless adapters work as intended and some will not disable when LAN is connected.  Why?

I called Dell.  After trying some things they dispatched a 3rd party to come out and replace the motherboard, wireless adapter and its antenna.

Before the tech came out, I found another Dell E6320 that worked properly.  What's the difference?

Well the one that doesn't work is the most recent version of the driver (DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini version 6.30.9.44)

The driver version for this card that works is 5.100.235.12

That's right, I had to roll back the driver to a previous version to get the "Disabled Upon Wired Connect" to work as intended.

Here's the best part:

I called Dell to cancel the 3rd party from coming out and replacing the hardware.

#1  They asked that I call World Wide Technology to cancel the dispatch

#2  The Dell agent asked if there was anything else before they closed the case (884370289).  They had no interest in knowing what the fix was or what the problem was.  I figured that I could save their time, the time of the 3rd party dispatch, the hardware cost, etc. but nope, no interest.

Wow.
