Discoloration

I currently have the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series (inspiron 7347) and I have had it for about 4 years. For the first 3 years it never left the house, I was scared to damage it. The edges have started discoloring to brown and the corners have silver paint chipping off and I have been very gentle with this laptop. Is there something I can do about this?
