E1705 Bios

I'm really wondering if its possible for Dell to release a new bio revision for the E1705 giving it support for the screen brightness with the FX 3600m. It was the absolute best cost effective way to upgrade my laptop to do just about all new games and software(auto cad and inventor). The screen brightness is stuck at a 3 out of 8 and its just to dark. If there is anything you can do that would be so great. Also if you have any other way to maybe force the screen to full brightness ill be fine with that. Thanks in advance.

The E1705 was NEVER offered with that GPU so,there will never be a BIOS update by Dell.Which power supply are you running with the FX card, the same one that came with the Geforce 7900GS (90 watt power supply)?you might want to go up to the 150 watt supply the one that runs the XPS 1710 will work as the nVidia 7950 GPU also runs in this system.

I have a 150watt power supply. I have the FX 3600m works so great in my system. I get a 9843 in 3d marks 06 and a 4885 in 3d marks Vantage. I have a FX 1600m that works perfect in the laptop and beats the 7950gtx at every game I play as long as i'm at a resolution of 1280x800 and under. But the FX 3600m not only make all my blueprints and inventor graphics smooth as butter because it optimized for it. But it can beat the heck out of a 7950gtx. Plus 64 unified shaders for cuda programs and PhysX are so nice. Also the a10 bios was released with the FX 1600m in mind and that's why it can work on a e1705/m1710. I'm just preying that dell can maybe see the large amount of people want to use the FX 3600m and come out with a fix for the unidentified lcd for the brightness. Maybe if they could up the default brightness in the bios which is set to 3 and make it default to max brightness.  That would fix the problem. Also because they would not have to do any other updating after the 3600m because its the last design that can fit in the e1705/m1710 design. Thanks for your response its nice to know there's other people out there. Waiting on you Dell :D please listen to our calls :P

The problem still lies at,the E1705 was only offered with 3 GPU's(ATI Radeon Mobility X1400,nVidia 7800,nVidia 7900GS).It was never offered with the FX GPU's at all that is the problem. So i dought Dell will/would make convert a driver package for something that was not originally offered with the system.I have never seen any OEM do this?

Well the E1705 can fully use a FX 2500 which = 7900gtx and FX3500 which = 7950gtx. Also it can now have a FX 1600m which is a part of the G82 series. Since they when out of there way to make one for that last year maybe they will make on for the FX 3600m which is a G92 series this year :D
