E5520 Skype audio issue the audio test shows visually AOK but in fact no sound - all other non Skype works fine
I think Steve found and offered the following general audio fix
1) go to Playback Devices
2) double-click Speakers/Headphones to bring up Properties
3) select the Advanced Tab
4) click Restore Defaults
5) click Apply
Well it has worked well for me with the one exception of Skype as noted in my subject line. The visual display test indicates I should be hearing quite clearly but the reality is nothing
Frankly I am lazy since I have a lightweight E7250 (my stalwart E5520 seems to be a little heavy for long airport terminal walks) Anyway Skype works fine
Anyone have a suggestion as to what I might be doing wrong with the E5520?
