E7240 and docking station
I am also experiencing this problem and I've got the spacer which someone suggested would help. I need to turn the power off and then on again, and then the monitor lights up. There have been many people weighing in with this issue, but I see it is still classified as not resolved. Any late breaking fixes?

I updated my BIOS and haven't seen this issue again. It has only been a few days but here's hoping.
