East Asian Languages without an XP cd
Hi,
I'm looking to be able to view and use East Asian characters on my windows XP laptop (Inspiron 6400) - specifically I need Chinese characters. I know that there's a way to go through control panel - add languages - east asian languages, but you need an XP disc. I don't even know if my computer came with a disc - it had XP ready loaded, and if it did I certainly don't have it with me.
I've read similar problems in other forums but non of them have come up with an answer - could any one help?
Thank you...
Ni

What you need to do is to install the CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korea) IME and language packs. Seach the microsoft site and find the ones that you need. Ignore what Microsoft tells you about the Global IME not being suitable for XP and install it anyway.
