Error code: 2000-0151

I receive this code when I turned on my computer after getting a crash screen, now my Alienware m14x does not turn on properly, after seeing the alienware logo loading screen, the screen goes black, but I eventually got it show that error code, can someone please help :(

Hello 65MrOliver,

Error code 2000-0151 indicates hard drive failure and needs a replacement. Does the computer have an active warranty? You can check the warranty status here (Enter the service tag, click submit and check for the warranty status). In case of expired warranty scenario, we would not be able to extend warranty entitled services. If the warranty on the computer has expired, you may contact our Expired Warranty Services (this is for US based customers).

Im not sure what my service tag is, but I have had my computer for 6 months

If you bought it brand new then it should be still under warranty.

Your service tag is on the bottom of your computer

Or hit F2 at boot and enter the Setup Menu and look in there.

Yes I did buy it brand new, so since I still have my warranty can I get the hard drive or laptop replaced?

Allan D will have to set that up for I am not a Dell employee, but he will need your Service Tag.

You will need to friend him and send it to him in a private message. Do not post your service tag on the Forum.
