F8 Does not work to restore, plus will restore remake mediadirect partition????

I made a boo boo with my Studio 1737. Needless to say I tried to reload using the F8 way.. It was a no go. Just a couple of options to start in safe mode or normal.

So I tried to load vista with the recoverey disk that came with it. Had issues loading drivers but got it to work.. Boots real slow now.

Does anyone know how I can manually reload a dell factory image???

Plus will it reload the media direct partition? My mediadirect button starts the laptop like the power button. It does not open the smaller mediadirectprogram.

I need seriuos help....
