Fake or genuine?

I purchased the battery in the top of the picture on eBay, sold as "Genuine original Dell battery". Of course, it won't power up my XPS 14Z laptop.

The bottom battery was the original equipment in my laptop. Is the top battery real or fake?

They both appear to be genuine Dell batteries.

If the new one doesn't (but the old one does) power the system, return it for exchange as defective.

if neither battery powers the system, look to a different cause entirely -- likely a bad mainboard.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

We would like you send the PPID of the part so that we can check it and confirm the same.

Thanks

Thanks, the system powers up with the old one, it just doesn't have the life it used to. The new one appears to be charged as the indicators on the side all light up when the test button is pushed, but the computer will not power up with it and thinks it is 0% charged. Thank you for the help.
