when you game the cpu and the hd and the memory all get very hot and it takes a while for them to cool down when you put into sleep that basically shuts everything down and cools it off faster.i would suggest using one of those cooling pads with the fan built in that will help get one with the extra large fan .

Hi FESSOY,

Does the system overheat? Are there any bluescreens / system crashes? Does this happen only while / after playing games? Do you notice the issue when you are using any applications or while watching a HD movie?

Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/29grVJ8 and reinstall the video drivers from the vendor site - for Intel - http://intel.ly/1qEcrCW and for nvidia - http://bit.ly/28VZ5Ls - restart the system and check if it works fine.

Download the service manual - http://dell.to/29fOv6g - and clean the airvents and the fan assembly for any accumulated dust with a can of compressed air or a small vacuum cleaner.

Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us.

Write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.

I ran the diagnosis  and a warning showed saying one or more thermal sensors were out of range

Hi FESSOY,

In some systems, the CPU temp monitor is on the fan assembly. So, please try the steps as advised in my previous post. Update the BIOS and if required clean the airvents and the fan assembly. This might help resolve the issue.

Let us know if you have any other queries.
