Faulty GPU in 1520!

OK .. here's my problem. While playing NFS Undercover my screen started showing random lines on the screen and then it would just restart! This happened yesterday. Today already while not doing any 3D apps the same thing happened. I guessed it was the GPU. I have the latest BIOS for the 1520 which is A09 and have the latest graphics driver from Dell the 175.97 . Now i've seen the defective gpu articles on the web, and also the official list of notebooks affected, and mine was not there! But I have the 8600GT which has been admitted to be faulty! The other problem is that I am now in Moldova and service for Dell here is horrible. So what can I do?

P.S. I bought my Dell Inspiron 1520 in the US, ordered it online.

If it's out of warranty, you can have any shop replace the video card - but you'll need to get the card from Dell, as it is a proprietary part.

If the system is in warranty you will need to return it to the US for service.

Your GPU is likely overheating, turn down the graphics.

Good luck.

It is faulty. If you can find drivers that have coolbits enabled you can downclock your Gmem clock. The lines indicate that is what it is most likely.
