Faulty GPU

I have a Dell Inspiron N5010 - Service tag <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

Gpu - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

Cpu - Intel i7-740Q M

My issue is that when i start my pc after the loading window colors the screen stays black.

When i go to safe mode and uninstall completely the amd drivers the computer starts normally but the resolution is lower than normal and the window 7 aero effects are disabled.

I tried different driver version(official from dell and from amd , but nothing changes.

I even restored to factory version of the laptop and fresh format with no luck at all.

Also i booted some Linux live distos to try but the black screen remains.

I believe is the GPU's fault since without the drivers the laptop works normally but with lower resolution  instead of 720p, and slow desktop animations.

Anyone having the same problem or know some information , and if the problem is the faulty GPU can i just replace the GPU with a newer one or it is integrated to the main board ?

Thanks

It does indeed sound like a faulty GPU -- and no, the GPU cannot be replaced short of replacing the system board.
