Flashed wrong BIOS (E6410A16) on a Latitude E4310

Hello Experts,

I have mistakenly flashed the wrong BIOS from E6410 to the E4310, now the laptop is starting with a blank screen, only wireless LED is on (Solid), and Caps Lock led.

My question is: is this system recoverable?

What I have already tried:

  • Latitude self-healing option which didn’t work.
  • Extracting the hdr file from this bios is not possible, as the package does not support the -writehdrfile option.

How it happened? I have a FreeDOS USB flash disk with all the model we have in our company, BIOSes are classified in folders, and the two laptops are very similar, with 1” screen difference :emotion-1:

Unsolder the BIOS chip and flash it externally in an EEPROM writer - that, or replace the mainboard.
