Foreign Battery Replacement, Inspiron 1545

I'm from Russia. I got my laptop at Walmart Galesburg, IL in 2010 when I was an exchange student.

A year ago my battery died, and I considered to get a new one only now.

My question is: does it make any difference for a laptop from which country I purchased a battery? Russia's electricity meter (excuse for my English) is 220V, not 110 as it is in US. If it does, please tell me which battery and AC adapter should I get?

Hi Afonva,

The AC adapter for this system should be a 90-Watt converter that is able to Input: AC100-240V (worldwide use). The needed system battery would remain the same regardless of region. If purchasing a replacement I recommend looking for an OEM part. Here is some information for a compatible OEM battery.

Manufacturer Part# : RU586
Dell Part# : 312-0844

The Dell Battery & Adapter selector can help with more and alternate parts if required.
