Has anyone got sleep working without problem on an XPS 13 9333?

I've tried everything to get sleep working on my XPS 13 (9333) running Windows 10 but I just can't get it to work reliably: sometimes it sleeps OK, sometimes the machine hangs when initiating sleep and sometimes it hangs on a wake from sleep. The only way out of the hang is to do a hard power-off by pressing the power button for four seconds.

What I'd like to know: does anyone have sleep working on this machine?

OK, I think that I've made some progress - one full day of laptop use with multiple sleep tests and no hangs. Googling 'intel management engine sleep' offered some pointers to the problem being with the Intel ME driver. This was version 11.0.0.1157 on my Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607) machine - I upgraded to the latest version (11.0.6.1194 at the time of writing) and this appears to have solved the problem.

Tentatively marking this as the suggested answer.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

We would suggest you to check the power management setting in control panel ,also boot the system into BIOS and check the following:

what is the status of hybrid sleep ? is C state enabled or disabled in BIOS ?
Thanks
Robin

Thanks for the reply. Hybrid sleep is off in the Windows power plan. The BIOS doesn't have a C-State option.

Does Dell have sleep working on this model of laptop?

perfect, this totally solved my issue. As of today, latest version of the intel ME driver is 11.6.31.3309
