Help : Battery recharges for a second and then stops on vostro 1510
It also seems that the motherboard won't recognize the battery despite the fact that windows *can* occasionaly recharge it,even weirder sometimes with no prior warnning or indication it seems that it is able to recharge again. My two theories are that the problem is either faulty hardware, or I need to update BIOS. What do you think?

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. If the battery is not getting detected in the Bios then try another battery. You will not be able to update the Bios if the battery is not getting detected.

hi, I wonder if you can help,
plugged in and not charging
I have tried a new battery and a new power supply, have updated bios to A15 and my laptop (vostro 1510) still will not charge my battery. Is there anything more I can do?
(battery charges for a few seconds when I first plug in the power supply)
