Surely this should be covered under some form of goodwill policy? In my opinion, it is obviously extremely common and therefore must be a design fault. However, I suspect this will never happen.

The laptop hinge is the same as your home door hinge or car door hinge. If it's broken in 1 year of use, it's defected or damaged by users.

The posted policy that all Dell representatives follow is correct. It was a simple mistake in our posting that has been addressed.
