How do I install a complete set of drivers for Window 7 on my Inspiron 1545?

I upgraded my Vista OS to Windows 7 some time ago. This was done via a promotional, offer from purchase, but the automated upgrade program did not work and I was forced to do a manual install. The sytem has never worked right and Dell agreed that the install was flawed, but their solution was to sell me a software contract. That being said, with 5 days left on my system warranty, I want to do a clean install of all windows 7 dirvers, The support site says there are 15 drivers which I have burned on a CD, does anyone know:

• the order in which the drivers must be installed
• Does 15 sound like the right quantity
• What are the chances that this will cause a system failure and I will lose everything
