How do I purchase an Inspiron 17 with an AZERTY keyboard?

I've tried the obvious things: on the UK web site it's not an option, the chat person says that they don't do them, the .fr site offers it but fails at checkout ( my French is poor, could have done something wrong). I just want an otherwise 'normal i.e. English, laptop but with an AZERTY keyboard.

I'm aware that I can modify the keyboard through the Control Panel and have ordered some stickers to experiment with, but the above would be my preferred option.

Is there a number, a person, in Dell who would facilitate this?

Hi CAPT.MAPREADER,

The systems available on the UK site are all with Qwerty keyboards. The Azerty is only available on the French and Belgium sites.

If you are trying to purchase the system through the French site, then I would suggest you to use Google Chrome browser while making the purchase, as it has an inbuilt language translator that would translate French to English and it would make it easier for you to purchase the same.

Alternatively, you could contact the French sales team and order the laptop through them and see if they can have one shipped out for you, if you are living in the UK. Contact options - http://dell.to/1of8tPz

You could also contact them via Twitter - @dellvousaide - for faster communication - https://twitter.com/DellVousAide

Your optimal solution would be to get a standard English machine and change the keyboard layout in control panel and use the stickers you have ordered.
