How long will a dell latitude d630 refurbished HDD last?

Hello,

Recently, I just bought a refurbished dell latitude d630. I am very unpleased with the company whom I bought it from. The laptop has line going across the lower screen. How long will it be until the screen dies?

And for my main question, I can't remove the hard drive because the screws are stripped, sadly. So, how long will this hard drive last? If the screws were stripped already then I presume that this Hard drive came with the laptop. The time can be estimated, I just don't know how long refurbished hard drives last in general.

I wouldn't complain and all but I'm only in High school and struggle to get money, and my next money income I was hoping to spend on a game I enjoy.
