How re install Windows 7 on my Dell Latitude D810

I have Dell Latitude D810 laptop computer. Originally, When I bought it, it came, as I remember it, with Windows XP. Later (in 2009) I updated it to Windows 7. It has been running so slow lately that I did a re-install of Windows 7 today. The C drive was wiped clean and reformatted before the install. I used an ISO file for the install that contains SP1. The installation seems to have gone fine, but the computer seems to be unaware of any Dell audio. I guess this makes sense because I didn't do anything to install Dell Drivers - I didn't know how.

So, I guess the question is, how do I make this installation of Windows 7 aware of my Dell drivers. I still have the original CD's that came with the computer, and one of them is labeled "Drivers and Utilities Already installed on your computer for re installing Dell Latitude System Software." However, I don't know how to make use of this disk or if the drivers on them are XP related only.

Any help appreciated.

you'll see if you wait for win 7 updates will download. in most cases, all the needed drivers will be detected and win 7 will install them. can you reply with the audio hardware and one of us will get you a link for the driver if 7 doesnt do it

Thank you JIMROAD for responding.

Sure enough, I am discovering that Windows 7 is fixing my driver problems one by one, though it is taking quite a bit of time. That is, over and over again Win 7 downloads more fixes etc and asks me to reboot, after I do, some of my driver problems get resolved automatically. But I wonder?

Do all these updates cause my machine to slow down? I mean, If I were to download the latest release of windows 7 and re install (instead of using the Windows 7 SP1 ISO I have) would there be and advantage?

The whole reason I went through this re install was because my machine was acting very sluggish. It makes me wonder if all these updates are contributing to the problem.
