Incredibly Long Post and Boot on Dell XPS 13-9343

Three days ago I purchased a new Dell XPS 13 on amazon, it arrived safe in the box will all the seals in place. It booted into windows 8.1, and without going into all the customization settings I immediately installed proceeded with a Windows 10 install, via USB. Note that I have used the same USB for many Windows 10 installs with no issues.

The Windows 10 installation went on without issues, I changed all the settings to match my preferences and installed necessary updates and programs. This took about an hour, during which the laptop restarted and was put into sleep mode and reawoken many times. After the hour, I shut down the laptop and let it sit for longer than 12 hours.

When I came to start it back on, the screen visibly got brighter, the fans worked and the backlit lights shone, but no dell or windows splash screen appeared. I initially thought that the laptop was failing to post and boot, and troubleshooted to that effect. Using FN + Power, I started the laptop in the diagnostic mode, and got this beep code: https://vocaroo.com/i/s16IPnsXSyHR

I also tried the steps in http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln300716/bios-recovery-options-on-a-dell-pc-or-tablet?lang=en to equally no effect, with the screen remaining blank yet seeming to work.

However, after a long period of browsing solutions online, with the laptop sitting after a restart in its blank state, the windows desktop appeared as normal. Now it did not appear directly after powering it on, it took approximately 15 minutes sitting in black screen for the windows desktop to appear. I am no longer under impression that the laptop is failing to post and boot while nothing appears on the screen. I think the screen is blank while the laptop is performing its typical duties, with some estranged power setting affecting the performance.

After the desktop screen reappeared, I again could restart the laptop and shut the screen with no issue, with all things appearing normal again. However, I fear that once the laptop remains off for another extended period of time, it will again refuse to show anything on screen.

Any solutions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your message

The Windows 10 OS installed, is it a Dell image?

Have you completed all Windows updates?

Please run a diagnostic again following this link http://bit.ly/2fJuGXB & check if there is any error listed.

Check & share the version of BIOS installed.

Please click on my Dell username & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

Yes, windows 10 was installed, via microsoft: www.microsoft.com/.../windows10

All updates and drivers are installed, via updates and dell's website; bios flashed to A13

I ran the epsa diag yesterday, came back all clear: http://imgur.com/a/ZeM14

Here's a video of the laptop awakening after a 13 minute blank screen: https://youtu.be/77E0OR5SmGE

other things that were suggested to me and that I have tried: disabling fast startup, disabling hibernation, running dism /restorehealth and sfc /scannow, disabling fastboot and extending the bios time.

I will send you the service tag asap.
