Inspiron 1420 video ram memory
I have a dell inspiron 1420 with 2 gb of ram, right now I have only 8 mb of video ram memory. Is it possible to crank up the video ram to at least 256mb, maybe even 512mb?

The 8 M is not your video RAM - it's a fixed frame buffer you cannot change. The system will use up to 256M of RAM as video memory as needed (that cannot be changed by the user).

The only real way is to buy a notebook with a better video subsytem in it.
