Inspiron 15 3537 sound problem

Hello everyone! I just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 3537 and when I connect my earphones on the sound is still in the speakers. I tried installing and reinstalling the driver, but it didn't change anything. Can somebody help? Thank you.

It is probably a bug in the Realtek audio driver. Test by installing the Windows native audio driver.

For instructions on installing the native audio driver, see this thread.

Hello! I switched to my native driver, but it's still the same. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

There is not a dedicated diagnostic tool for audio hardware failure, but when you get the same symptoms with both the vendor's audio driver and the native generic one, that is a strong indicator of hardware failure.

You can try to run Dell PC Diagnostic online tool.

Contact tech support to see about getting it repaired, or if you are still within the brief return period you have that option.

Hi! I have another problem now. The tool you gave me doesn't work. It's been a couple of hours and it doesn't go pass "Obtaining selected diagnostics".

That's why I said you can "try" to run it. It doesn't work for me either.
