Inspiron 15 7537 Windows 10 upgrade failed and won't boot

Hello

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 but after restart it won't reboot and all attempt to restart the upgrade fail.

Does anyone have an idea what to do?

Thanks

Hi Ravi, Philip

Thanks for your advices. After several days of attempts, I managed to connect to Dell.com and download the BIOS update and it seems to work fine so far.

Thanks

Hi Thomasp87,

I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check for issue resolution.

  1. Switch off the computer.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter from the system.
  3. Remove the battery from the computer.
  4. Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Then connect back all the peripherals and check for issue resolution.

Also, I would suggest you reseat a few components, like memory and hard drive and see if that makes a difference. In the link below punch in the system service tag or express service code and you can access the user manual for removing and reseating components.

Please let me know if this helps.

Revert to Windows 8.1 and ensure your UEFI BIOS is up to date before proceeding with the Windows 10 TH2 Clean Install.
