Inspiron 15 under warranty, hinge pulling apart

My Inspiron 15 (5000 Series) is pulling apart at the hinge. Specifically the lower sections. On one side the screw has come out completely and the hole is stripped. On the other the screw head broke through the plastic. How do I go about getting this fixed before it causes bigger problems and is it covered under the warranty?

I have the same issue and it's taken a lot of wrangling to get dell to put me onto the in warranty department. They will do everything they can to make you pay for the damage. There are several online reviews mentioning the faulty hinges. You just have to stick to your guns and they may relent. I'm not finished yet though and i have been a dell customer for ten years. The screw fell out unbeknowst to me and then the hinge cracked when i opene the laptop. *** hinge was always too stiff and had to be gingerly opened.
