Inspiron 1501: Blinking green light, rarely turns on
From reading other posts, I sadly think my motherboard is fried, but I haven't found a post describing quite the problem I have so hopefully someone can tell me otherwise. I have a Inspiron 1501. It normally won't start and when I plug it in the cord goes from a green light to a blinking green light. On the back of the computer, I'll see it blinking orange.
The only times I'm able to get it started at all is when I unplug it, take the battery out and put the battery back in. The computer will start normally then, but as soon as I plug it in, I get the blinking lights and it immediately shuts down.
Any help (even if it just confirms my fears) would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
