Inspiron 1521 Harddrive Upgrade
Can someone tell me what the specs are on the harddrive that comes with the Inspiron 1521? A client of mine wants to change out the harddrive as the current one is failing, but I cannot find any reference in the technical specs

as to what type of harddrive it is. I am assuming it is a 2.5" SATA, but don't want to just go with my assumption.
Thanks,

Yes, it is 2.5" SATA.
Still in doubt? You can take it out and have a look: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1521/en/om_en/html/parts.htm#wp1115893

Nope that's fine. I don't have the laptop with me right now (the client is still using it). I just wanted to be able to give an accurate quote for a replacement and she didn't know what kind of drive it was.
Looking at the specs of computers here at Dell, I found it very surprising that they don't list the the specs for the standard processor or harddrive that the computer comes with.
Thanks for the response,

They do, but since systems are generally custom-built, you need the service tag from the system to acccess accurate information.
