Inspiron 1525 monitor flickers, goes dark, still works with external monitor, also mouse button stuck

My 18 month old Inspiron 1525 has two new issues. 1st: the monitor has gone dark. If you shine a light across it, you can tell it is still on and working. If I plug in an external monitor, the ext monitor works and the laptop monitor will come on about 50% of the time, flicker for a minute or so then go out again. 2nd issue: now the right mouse key on the keyboard will not return to its up position. It is just pushed in. Any thoughts??
