Inspiron 1564-fan issue
I have an inspiron 1564 and the fun makes a lot of noise. It whirs up every 2-3 minutes and makes a lot of noise. Please help.

The only thing to can do is replace the fan.

You can try sucking out dust with shop vac; take ESD precautions.
May be able to blow dust out.
If no joy you can physically remove dust and apply new thermal paste to heat sink.
If fan bearings make any noise then fan needs replacement.
If replacement fan isn't available you can oil bearings to get more life.
If fan is difficult to access then I would replace if you can't suck/blow dust out.
I like to monitor CPU/GPU temps w/ free software so I'll have a heads up if cooling problem starts.
Sometimes undesirable fan behavior is result of software/firmware "upgrades".
