Have you tried to look for Windows update KB3035583 on your Dell pc? I solved my problem by deleting the KB3035583 first then rebooting and searching for it in Window's updates. I found KB3035583 under Optional updates. I reinstalled it and rebooted my computer and Windows 10 icon came on live. The key to success is in the correct installation of this patch and I believe certain non-windows softwares such antivirus from 3rd parties are to blame.

 Hi r.deivigan,

As per Microsoft website, the Windows 10 update is available for all Windows 7 Sp1 or Windows 8 users. So if you are using Windows 8 operating system on your computer we are pretty sure you will notice a small Get Windows 10 icon on the task bar towards the right hand side. Hence we request you to wait till you get the update. And it is a free update and the last date to reserve your copy using the Get Windows 10 app is 29th of July 2016 as per Microsoft website, the information of which is available on the link provided to you on the earlier message. Hope this is helpful. Please feel free to reach out to us in case if you have any other queries and we will be happy to assist you.

Hi Dell=\-Mohan,

I 'm having the same issue. My Dell desktop (i5 w/ win 7 64-bit) shows all upgrades are installed and none more available. Yet there's no upgrade icon on my Dell. Where as I have two laptops and one more desktop all running windows 7 and they all have the upgrade icon.

Has Dell done something to the pc to stop upgrading? As I understand we need KB3035583 for the icon to appear. Has Dell tried to block this?

regards.   ikeaa

Same here... my 3 year old ASUS K40AE running on Windows 7 and my Lenovo Idea PC running on Windows 8.1 already got the Windows App/Upgrade Icon thingy. However, my DELL Inspiron 15r 5537 still doesn't have the icon even after all the Windows updates I installed yesterday...

Third party antivirus causes issues in some systems from showing the Get Windows 10 App:

Hey check is your windows is licensed or not cause I read somewhere that non-licensed version is not going to get windows 10 and if you are licensed than update widows and than update it again after maybe in 6 hour cause I refreshed My laptop couple of times and when I try to update windows repeatedly it says your windows is upto date and the very next day there is another update so just try to update it after some time 24hr is better and you could try what ikeaa is saying see if it solves your problem.

If you had windows 10 icon in taskbar and you have reserved your update than check if it is showing any non compatible program or something if not than,

Check is your network on which you're trying to update is set on Metered or Non-Metered if it is Metered than set it as Non-Metered Connection and try to update cause I'm also not able to update until I did this after setting it as non-metered Check for Updates than you will be able to update if it is the same case as mine.
