Inspiron 15z 5523 not starting up
Hi all, I've got a 3.5 year old Inspiron 15z laptop, and noticed that it doesn't want to start up any more. With the power adapter in, the "Power" LED on the laptop turns on after I press it, and the 3 quick start buttons also light up briefly. I hear the fan start, and then nothing. The screen stays black, the power LED stays on, but that's it.
I do know that it is getting power, since I've completely drained the battery and the power button LED won't light up unless I plug in the adapter. The LED on the adapter brick is green.
Am I stuck with having to replace the motherboard? I'm at a loss as to what else could be wrong. I've also tried doing a reset via the button near the RAM slots.

Thanks Robert... I've tried all those suggestions at least twice, no luck. It does seem like the laptop fails POST, based on what I've read, so I'll focus on that. Really hoping it isn't a shot motherboard.
