Inspiron 1720 Memory

Hello all,

 

I have a new Inspiron 1720 that I want to upgrade the memory on.  I Have two 1 GB chips that I purchased for my Old Inspiron 6000(Overheating), that was warranty replaced and upgraded to an E1705(overheating), now that has been replaced by this Inspiron 1720. I went onto Dells Website and looked at replacement parts for all three of the computers. and While Dell's part number has changed the Manufacturers part number is Identical SNPY9530C/1G for all three computers. So will it be ok to use this in the 1720. Thanks in advance for your responses.
