Inspiron 7520 (15SE) Max RAM and voltage

Hi all, I wish to upgrade my RAM in a Inspiron 15SE (7520).  I originally read deeply and was planning on grabbing 2x8GB DDR3 SODIMM of the low-voltage type with the lowest CAS latency I could find, CL 9 I guess.

But I've looked up the voltage on what is currently in the machine and it is 1.5V not 1.35V as I was about to purchase.  Does it take both voltage types and the original RAM is just the cheap and nasty type and I'm not constrained to 1.5V?  I'm guessing I'll go with 2x8GB CL9 if I'm not...

I want 16GB to run a RAM disk for fast OS operations to backup an SSD main drive.

Anyone an expert and know for sure, or has actually upgraded?  THANKS!

Correction -- 15R-SE (7520) model.  And 1600MHz CL 9.  DDR3L. 2x8GB?  Is CL8 even out there?  Is this the same as getting faster and lowering the CL value because the chip is rated for a higher speed, seems like a lot of manufacturing spec sheets imply it's almost interchangeable.
