Inspiron 7559 + 4Tb HDD 15mm!!!

Hi guys, anyone tried this combination?

Probably won't fit, but who knows!!

I already have the HDD on a external case, but if (for some how) it fits inside the laptop I would prefer to use it as internal...

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

ZerO.

There's no way to put a drive that height inside the system.

Did you ever explore this? I understand the tray is for a 7mm height.  However I cant help but wonder how easily a 15mm tray would sit in there.  Obviously a modification may be needed to the bottom casing cover to compensate with perhaps some added feet to keep it level.  Is there any reason aside from  the physical size why this would not work?

Physical size is enough - there is no way to fit a drive more than twice the height of the bay into this system.  Yes, you could cut open the bottom casing - disrupting the cooling and then the system won't sit flat on the bottom.

If you need a  15 mm drive, it needs to be external.
