Inspiron 7720 SSD problems

so i have a new Crucial M500 120GB SSD and i want to install windows onto it and a few other programmes for load speed. However i am having immense trouble with the SSD, when the SSD is installed the initial DELL bios screen either takes about 5 mins to pass or sometimes never passes it, i take the SSD out and its back to normal.

i have left the SSD in for a few months since i had it and it never cause any issues, it was not installed just connected and never seen by windows in my computer. untill about 5 days ago it started taking a long time to start up. is it a possible windows update that caused it?

The bios is version was A15 and ive updated it to A16 and still the same problem, put the SSD in and it takes ages to load and will not show the SSD as being connected in bios or the windows diskpart. take the SSD out and it works as normal.

so basically, how do i get the SSD to be seen by BIOS and make it boot normally?
