Inspiron B130 Flashing Orange Battery Light

I have an Inspiron B130.  It is several years old.  The battery light comes on and flashes orange.  After I unplug it and plug it back in it quits flashing.  It does this when the power is on and when the power is off.  I have replaced the battery twice, I have replaced the A/C power adapter twice and I have replaced the CMOS battery.  It is still flashing orange.   When I remove the battery and run on A/C power only the orange light doesn't flash at all.  I am at a loss.  What is going on with this laptop?
