Inspiron N4110 Charger does not work.

Hi All,

I had purchased my Dell Inspiron N4110 Laptop 2years back and now the charger does not charge.

When I switch on the charger, the LED on the charger glows for a fraction of a second and goes off. The led indicator that is meant to show the charging status in the laptop also does not glow then. I am confused as to why it is not charging. Any light on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

If the LED goes out before you connect the DC plug to the system, the adapter is bad and will need to be replaced.

If the LED stays on when the charger is left unplugged from the system but goes out when you connect the DC plug, first try a new DC jack:

If that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard is bad and will need to be replaced.

Thank you ejn63.

I will look for the part you mentioned through the link i.e the cable. I am in India.

Let me see if I get this cable here.

Thanks again
