Inspiron N5010 Unexplained Shutdown

I've got an Inspiron N5010 running Windows 7.   The laptop is no longer under warranty, and is experiencing frequent unexplained shutdowns.  These shutdowns seem to become more frequent as the laptop temperature increases.  Anybody experience anything similar, and if so, what was the problem/resolution?

If the shutdowns become more frequent as the notebook gets hotter, it sounds like you might have dust in your notebook.

Try using a can of compressed air and blow out the cooling radiators.  A little bit of dust can degrade the efficiency of the radiators.
