Inspiron N5030 sudden shutdown?

Please help! After working perfectly fine for a couple of hours the other day my laptop suddenly shut down. Since then it hasnt worked forlonger than 15-20 minutes without shutting down suddenly. I dont think its overheating as it nevers feels very hot. Ive tried unplugging it, taking out the battery and holding down the power button for thirty seconds but that achieved nothing. I went in f12 upon bootup and tried running a diagnostics test but the laptop shut down again halfway through. Is there anything else i can possibly do or is it just a goner?

The problem is because the laptop shuts down after 15 minutes there  is not enough time to run and finish the checkup so i havent been able to get much more info from it other than its passed the first four tests. Is there anything else i can try?

Hi JudiVolk26,

Please update the BIOS using the link below.

http://dell.to/13EVLww

In this link punch in the system service tag or express service code> > click on get drivers and download > click on view all drivers> select the appropriate operating system under the BIOS category select the latest BIOS and install it.

Connect the Ac Adapter before updating the BIOS and do not use the system until it restarts after the update.
