Inspiron N5110 Dies When Plugged In
Hi,
I got my Laptop a few months ago, in August...
And today while using it, i plug it in and it dies!
Thinking it overheated, i put it on my table and wait a few minutes, then turn it on, and try again.. much to my dismay it died once more!
Oh and i cant turn it on until i remove my battery and put it back in..?
Any help?
Thanks :)

Let's see if we can try to eliminate some items.
If it starts the first time, then either the battery or the charging system is bad.
If it starts under the second scenario, then either the AC adapter or charging system is bad.
Because the notebook is only a few months old, all of this should be covered under warranty.
Call Dell and set up the service call. As you mentioned, you may need a new motherboard.

You need to contact Dell to arrange a service call to fix your system.

Computer does not turn on
Now put the battery back in, attach AC power adapter and restart the notebook.
This has worked on other notebooks. It may work for you.
It's easy to try.

Here is the link that lists different ways to contact Technical Support.
Most get better service from the Chat Line.
