Installing Windows 7 on 2nd HDD (SSD)

I have tried to install Windows 7 on a 2nd HDD (a Samsung SSD EVO 840) on my Inspiron 15R N5110 (BIOS A11).

The SSD is mounted in the CD/DVD expansion slot with a "Dell Inspiron N5010 N5030 N5110 HDD Caddy" (http://hddcaddy.com/en/dell-hdd-caddy/96-dell-inspiron-5010-n5030-n5110-hdd-caddy.html)

The installation goes fine, the SSD is detected and the installtion runs smoothly, but at the first boot I get the following error message: http://pds2.exblog.jp/pds/1/201103/13/16/f0178416_10205234.jpg

Error: 0xc000000e

I tried startup repair and alot of different solutions, but to no avail.

Isn't it possible to run an OS from the 2nd HDD?

Will it be possible if I switch places on the HDDs? That is installing the SSD as the primary drive and moving the old on to the expansion slot.

It is possible to "switch places on the HDD's" In fact. for performance reasons it is recommended that the SSD be installed as the boot drive, You can then move the HDD to the adapter bay. After that you'll have access to the adapter bay drive as mass storage device instead of trying to get the system to boot from the secondary drive.

Thank you for the reply!

The problem is that one screw is stripped, so I can't reach in to the motherboard to do the switch. I have tried everything to get the little [profanity removed per TOU] out but nothing works.

So while it is good to know that it is recommended to put the SSD as primary, I was hoping I could somehow get Windows to run on the secondary.
