Intel Turbo boost technology driver

I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows, and the laptop has been buggy ever since.

I'm getting this error against the listing for the Intel Turbo boost technology driver, and reinstalling/upgrading the driver does not fix this. I'm getting the error

This device cannot start. (Code 10)The request is not supported.

I'm using driver version: 1.2.0.1002 dated 26/2/2010

It says the 'driver isn't using any resources because it has a problem' Is there a fix for this?

Hi xandarian,

Please help us with the system model details so that we can check the driver availability and assist accordingly.

I tried installing a driver update dated July 2010, and although it says 'installed successfully' the listing still shows the outdated driver and problem. My laptop is a: Dell XPS15 (L501X)

In the details it says: PCI bus 0, device 31, function 6

I didn't clarify in my original post that I'm running Windows 8 now

I downloaded the Turbo boost monitor, and it started to go through an uninstall procedure, so I already have it installed. This is not the answer to the problem unfortunately

Hi xandarian,

Unfortunately XPS 501X is not supported by Dell for Windows 8 upgrade. Please find the link below for the list of systems supported.

Hi Harish

Unfortunately looking at a current list of laptops I don't own won't fix the  problem with my laptop. Do you know when Dell will support the XPS501X ? It was 2 years ago, and currently is a quality spec laptop i7 quad core laptop with 2gb of dedicated graphics, so I'm hoping Windows 8 support will be coming soon?
