Is windows Defender compatable w/ Mcafee security Center

I am curently using the Mcafee Security Center that came with my computer ( not Windows Fire Wall). Just want to know if it's ok to be running Windows Defender at the same time. I am a Newbe to computers but I do know that you shouldn't run two firewalls at the same time. Is this the same case with Windows Defender.

It should be fine to run both, but try not to let them run at the same time. Usually Defender runs when your system is idle... so you might want to configure McAfee to run at specified times. I don't know if you can configure Defender to do the same.

I have mcafee too and windows defender and during configuring everything defender said close one of the firewalls,turn off the defender firewall and you can keep everything else running on defender.
