LAptop LCD Screen Resolution issue with Dell LAtitude D820-NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M Graphics

Hi,

I've been given this D820 as a replacement for my D810 but i can't seem to increase the Laptops LCD Display further than 1200x800. It's annoying because in my old D810 i could display at 1600x1200. It seems that the Display settings are stuck on 1. (Multiple Monitors) which only goes up to 1200x800, though the other setting is 2.Default Monitor which allows resolutions to go up to  2048x1536 but for the life of me i can't seem to switch to this:emotion-12:. I Don't have an external monitor to plug in to possibly get this working.

Thanks in advance.

Your D810 probably had a high resolution WUXGA LCD panel.  The new one is WXGA only - it can't do more than 1200X800.

Hi ejn63,

Your absolutely right, just checked with IT support and they confierm that i have a WXGA monitor, so no resolution higher that 1280x800 for me:emotion-6:. Im going to go back to using my old D810 as not only is the display better but it just seems to be a lot faster in processing and running my apps than the D820.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated
