Laptop Battery
Do I have to have a battery for my laptop? I am getting a message that my battery is charging but is reaching the end of its useful life. Since I never use the laptop without it being plugged into AC do I even need a battery? My concern is when I travel and it is stored in car for three days without power is that hurting anything?

Hi shargu,
It is not important to have a battery in case you use your laptop with ac adapter plugged in all the time. The battery is only necessary in case you want to use your laptop without the ac adapter plugged in. It will not harm your system if your system is stored in your car for few days and you power it on with ac adapter plugged in.
