Laptop Trackpad behaving strangely

Hello

My trackpad isn't working well. I tried Restore and installing the latest driver - no luck.

I keep getting a different design on the cursor something that looks like this .

The normal horizontal line disapears, and I get two arrows either side.

Can anyone tell me what this is for, or why it is there.

How can I get rid of it?

Any other reason my trackpad is behaving badly, its a vostro 1540.

Hi 132132o,

It seems like the cursor settings have changed. Please follow the steps below to set it default.

  1. Click on Start button.
  2. In the search box type mouse and then press enter.
  3. Click the Pointers tab
  4. Select ‘Use Default’ and With ‘Normal select’ highlighted under Customize
  5. Click on Apply and OK.
