Laptops General - Read Only

Hoping someone can help - laptop used to automatically detect any USB item including camera, external hard drive and no longer does

Any ideas on how to fix this?  Its frustrating - Have tried mapping external drive - can view but not open docs, jpg's etc - Have downloaded new drivers etc - no luck - Doesnt even auto detect camera like it used to HELP - I understand this could be a windows thing but still need help on solving it

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.

You can try updating the chipset drivers from www.support.dell.com 

Click on drivers and downloads - enter the system tag - select the operating system in the result and click Find Downloads - in the list expand Chipset, download and install the appropriate chipset drivers for your system.
