Latitude 3340 display driver issue after SYSPREP

I'm wondering if anyone's seen an issue like this? I've been imaging systems with Windows 7 for years now, and I've never seen anything like it...

I'm preparing a system image for Dell Custom Factory Integration. I've loaded and configured everything, including all drivers for the system from the Dell support page. All is working as expected.

I SYSPREP the machine and capture my gold image and when I boot the image on a system, the display driver reverts from the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (version 10.18.10.3412) back to the default Microsoft Standard VGA Display Adapter.

I've tried multiple times, and I've even mounted the captured .WIM file and used DISM to forcefully inject the drivers. I get the same result every time.

If I update the driver after the image boots, it works as expected, but I'm trying to figure out what is causing it to fail in the first place, and I don't want to have to update the driver on a fresh laptop delivery from the factory.

Thanks for reading!

Wayne
